We all know they are caught up in the warming meme, but the Met Office in the UK is now trying to spin the idea that they had truly forecasted a cold and snowy winter, but they just didn’t tell anyone. The rationale? We skeptics here (and elsewhere) are a bunch of meanies for making fun of the BBQ summer that never happened, so we’ll keep it to ourselves.
The spin you are about to witness is Maytag quality spin. It is shameless, stupid, and beyond anything I’ve ever seen.  Both James Delingpole and Autonomous Mind take the Met Office out for a spin cycle that ends up in a full stop. The propaganda is shameless, the smell odious, and the public relations disaster is even worse than before. They apparently just don’t know when to stop talking.

This is a potentially huge story with a nasty smell of conspiracy about it. There appears to be a concerted effort to whitewash serious failings at the Met Office, with the assistance of a senior climate change propagandist at the BBC who is fully bought in to the Met Office’s warmist agenda.
The Telegraph reports today that: ‘The Met Office knew that Britain was facing an early and exceptionally cold winter but failed to warn the public, hampering preparations for some of the coldest weather on record.’  The article goes on to say:

In October the forecaster privately warned the Government – with whom it has a contract – that Britain was likely to face an extremely cold winter.
It kept the prediction secret, however, after facing severe criticism over the accuracy of its long-term forecasts.

Dead Birds and Nostradamus predictions have been the thoughts of many today after reports of dead birds falling from the sky, now in three different states. Dead birds were mentioned by Nostradamus, in some of his many predictions. Here are a few pieces pulled from the prophecies of Nostradamus that could pertain to the dead birds falling from the sky.
Dead birds have been reported in Arkansas, along with hundreds of thousands dead fish. Dead birds are also reported in Louisiana today, according to CNN News. Just a few hours ago dead birds are now being reported in Kentucky, according to CBS News.

Nostradamus writes:

“A great stench will come from Lausanne, but they will not know its origin, they will put out all people from distant places, fire seen in the sky, a foreign nation defeated.”
This is from the website Occult view, who makes the case that the dead birds and dead fish would cause a stench, the fire in the sky could be the solar eclipse that happened today. He also points out that Lausanne was what the area of Arkansas and Louisiana before it was part of the US. In the mid 1600’s a French explorer, Rene-Robert Cavelier named this territory Lausanne, in honor of King Louis XIV of France. This territory was eventually purchased by the US from France’s Napoleon Bonaparte. This is known in history as “The Louisiana Purchase” from 1803. The two states where the birds fell and the dead fish were found were once included in that area! Far fetched? Maybe

Another writing of Nostradamus:

This is discussed on the website Hogue Prophecy.  Hogue discussed this after the same type of dead bird phenomenon occurred in Coxley Somerset, England. The same thing happened with starlings that just fell from the sky and had all kinds of injury because of this. Broken beaks, wings and bloodied bodies is what was found with this mass of dead birds in England. The authorities never found out how they died, just that they may have been scared.
Hogue also says that the Romans looked to the birds as messages from the Gods.
Occult View also “finds it curious” that the day of the solar eclipse visible over Europe on January 4th, a 7.0 earthquake on January 1st in Chile, a 7.1 earthquake in Argentina on January 2nd, with dead birds falling from the sky in between all this could be an odd coincidence.
While thankfully Connecticut is not experiencing storms of dead birds and dead fish, many who live in the Nutmeg State are just as interested as the rest of the nation about these phenomenon’s of  nature around the country.

Bitter Cold to Grip U.S. through Mid-Januarylink

AccuWeather.com Expert Meteorologist Elliot Abrams weighs in on the cold days ahead for the Great Lakes and Northeast and explains why it is turning colder.

Rounds of bitterly cold air invading the country through next week will have people shivering and cranking up their thermostats from coast to coast.
In fact, the caliber of the cold gripping certain parts of the country over the next couple of weeks has AccuWeather.com Chief Long Range Forecaster Joe Bastardi concerned that this month, for the nation as a whole, may be the coldest January since 1985.
"The major cold that will be centered over the northern Plains Jan. 10-20, plus the cold [in the] West the first two weeks of the month, will make this January the coldest coast to coast, rather than regional, since the 1980s," Bastardi said in his blog Sunday.

A persistent flow of air from the Arctic will keep much of the nation in a deep freeze through the middle of January.
Bitter cold has already invaded the northern Plains and will continue to grip the region through much of next week. Highs will largely remain in the single digits or teens across this region, while nighttime lows will dip below zero, occasionally or frequently depending on location.
Minneapolis, Minn., Sioux Falls, S.D., and Fargo, N.D., are included in this zone with gusty winds making it feel even more frigid.
People in the East have also experienced a dramatic cooldown following an unusually mild weekend. The region will gradually turn colder throughout the week with a more significant cold snap on the way Friday into the weekend.
In parts of the Northeast, the cold snap may be preceded by another snowstorm.

Bastardi says this cold snap will be the coldest of the month for the Southeast, which just endured a record cold December. The good news is that he expects January not to be as cold as December in this region.
In the Northeast, highs will be below freezing in most places this weekend, while harsh winds send AccuWeather.com RealFeel® temperatures dropping into the single digits or even below zero at times. This includes New York City, Boston, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., Pittsburgh and Buffalo, N.Y.
Temperatures are expected to remain below normal across much of the northern Plains and East next week.
